Question: Are you looking for a change of Campsite this year?
Answer: Yes?

Let me introduce you to Guestwell Campsite, used only by Scout and Guide
Groups from all over the country and world. Guestwell Campsite is available

We can offer all the advantages of a greenfiled site, with the luxury of

situated in a little village called Guestling, close to the sea and backs
onto Woodland Trust owned woods which groups have access to.

We can take for bookings for this year and next.
If you haven't booked your summer camp yet this year, don't panic. We can

International

West Sussex Scouts Web Site " International Pages" .... Which can
be found at?

www.westsussexscouts.org.uk/international.php

There is a lot of information on the pages and the information
can only grow if you can help us develop it ........ HOW

 (1)   Please forward the link to EVERYONE you know in your day to day
scouting and encourage them to have a read, international is for everyone
and you don't have to go abroad to experience it.

(2)   Tell us if there is anything you like included on the site , they any
be useful to you but I may not have thought about

(3)   Tell us about the things you have done as part of your international
programme , many units and troops have been abroad , shared international
links , whilst many sections undertake international activities in the
Colony , Pack , Troops and Unit Meetings .. so why not share what you have
done with the county to show that what you thought was impossible can be
done

If you have any reports, photos etc please forward to Rick Cooper via the
international@ westsussexscouts.org.uk ,

And we will endeavour to get it onto the Website so others can share your
ideas and experiences

The more reports from actual International scouting activities that have
taken place in West Sussex the more it encourages others to have a go.

Campalot

Campalot is but a year away,This may seem to be to far into the future to be worth sorting at this moment in time.

Summer camps, District events, and a host of other things to be thinking
of (yes I was a leader not so long ago).

Could I ask that you, take a few minuets of your time, and think about
Campalot. What is campalot ? I hear you asking. let me tell you.

Campalot is West Sussex County Cub Scout Camp.
Held at the South of England Show Ground. On the 15th/17th May 2009.
Theme Knights of the Round table.

All Districts are coming and they have been divided into 6 sub camps
(ADCs have details). After Jungle Fever some of you said you lacked some of the important details to help you run smoothly.

In this day and age this should not be a problem and I intend to see
what can be done.

Each District will have their ADC cubs and a District camp rep, they
will receive all the details and help to make a lot of the decisions
concerning camp so each district should have a voice at camp meetings.
West Sussex web site will be putting as much information onto a special
page for Campalot.

This you can look at at your leisure. So if you still haven't filled out those booking forms and got them to your ADC please do it now, The more information we get from you at this early stage helps the team decide on things like:- The size of the
site.(Ardingly have to have the teams decision by the end of May)

The large activities.( some need deposits 1 year in advance).
Something new this year is a display for Saturday evening.(these people get booked very early and we don't want to miss out).

So as you can see, its not so far away as we first thought, we need to
get the numbers in asap. your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
At the ADC meeting last night over 700 young people joined up, so don't
let your pack miss out on all the fun and excitement, get those forms
done now and remember it's only a estimation of numbers.

If you don't have a booking form see your ADC or contact me at
dave@ galeodesigns.co.uk or 01903 744912. Lets all get together and have
some fun.
